Catch a break !
A break from everything is all that you need sometimes. Even though we spend all our day watching web series and eating (because that's all we've been doing during this quarantine period) but sometimes we need a break from that too! It's basically a monotonous lifestyle that makes us want to alter the pattern. Think about the time when you were like, "I don't seem to catch a break!" and try to relate to what comes ahead.
All of us need some escape routes to get away from our routine and do something that soothes us. But what do we mean by an escape route? Is it necessary for an escape route to be some kind of creative activity? Is it even important to take a break? Let's try to answer these questions and many more one by one.
So, an escape route is something which helps you to spend some time with yourself and maybe even helps you to regain self-confidence. It helps you to get away not only from your everyday life but also helps you relax mentally. Most of us often end up overthinking, especially during these uncertain times. And most of the time, those thoughts are ruled by negativity, which is not healthy. So, even if you think you are not tired physically, those thoughts tend to mentally and emotionally exhaust you. It is during this that it's important to take a break.
Now, escape routes can vary for different people. For some people like me, it can be spending time trying to doodle or paint while listening to their favorite songs. For some others, it can be singing or dancing or maybe cooking. For one of my friends, it's reading and for yet another one it is playing video games (especially PUBG). But that's not all because, for some people like my best friend, the escape route is studying. It was just some days ago when I asked her to think about that one thing that makes her happy and helps her forget about all the not-so-good things happening everywhere. And after giving it a thought, she messaged me that it was studying. For most of you, this might come as a shock because how is it possible for someone to like studying. Remember when you had spent months without knowing about what is going on in your class and then had to study those topics before an exam? And what did it feel like when you instantly got a hang of it? (I know that it's a rare occurrence but it must have happened at least once) Even if it was a very small topic but still it gives you such a good feel factor. Some may call it the power of knowledge. I like to think that an escape route could be any activity that beautifully engages you to forget about anything and everything happening around you.
Sometimes, we don't even realize that we need a break until our heart and body brim over with exhaustion or sadness. So, let us all perform two easy steps. First, try to find out an activity that makes you happy and helps you appreciate yourself, which means searching for your escape route. Second, enjoy that activity from time to time and just catch a break!!
