Palak Ke Pakode
It is the peak Winter season now. The start of Winters marks a lot of things like those endless layers of clothes, cocooning inside a big fat blanket, and the greatest excuse to not exercise. But the best part about winters is the seasonal variety of fruits and vegetables. Those round and juicy green grapes are definitely worth the wait. Talking of fruits and vegetables, no one can forget about carrots. Apart from being the tastiest part of a salad, "Gajar Ka Halwa" is the apple of everyone's eye. Don't worry! Love for Fritters (pakodas) in such cold weather cannot be overlooked. Speaking of which, spinach not only means the delicious "Palak Paneer", it also means those crispy and mouth-watering "Palak ke pakode".
Can you imagine a blend of Palak Paneer's taste and Palak ka pakoda's crispiness with a modern touch? Well, most of us can't but trust me our moms can. So, just today my mom tried this new recipe which was called "Palak Paneer Cheese Pakode". And believe me, when I tell you this, it was delectable. With every bite, you could feel the crispiness of the spinach leaf, the melting cheese, and the tenderness of paneer along with the Indian touch of spices. I would like to call it "The Evolved Palak ka Pakoda". So, the next time you are talking to your mom, tell her that my friend's mom made this thing and she can't stop bragging about it. And your work's done. It'll be just a matter of time till you are sitting with a plate of these evolved palak ka pakodas in front of you.
Some of you might be confused as to why or how that would happen. So apparently, there is this unsaid battle among our moms on the grounds of the food they make. Haven't you ever noticed that whenever your mom sends a new dish she recently tried to the neighbor's house, you find the neighbor's kid saying that he/she had the same thing for dinner just the next day? Just a coincidence? I don't think so...
So, what are waiting for? Go and enjoy this delicacy. Go! Go!!
