Eventful February

"Eventful" seems like a small word to describe the crazy February I had. This month involved moving
out of my home and shifting to a different city, dancing on stage and wearing a lehenga after years,
going on dates, meeting old friends, and even that's not all. Let me go through all the events
chronologically.

My office is in Gurgaon and I'd been traveling to the office since last year but lately, I'd started getting
horribly car sick, so shifting near my office seemed the right way to go about it. So, shifted to Gurgaon
at the start of this month. This was also the time that I started getting into the dating world again (Didn't
really work out but I felt ready to finally start dating again). Soon after shifting, it was my best friend's
parent's silver jubilee function, where the dress code was traditional Indian outfits and we also had a
dance performance planned. The only thing about that was... I hadn't done both of those things in the
last 12 years. I was understandably nervous but I was determined to enjoy those wedding vibes. I even
applied mehendi on my hands (Ohh, the content). Well, the dance performance was funny because
I had no clue what I was doing up there on the stage but it felt so great and even liberating.

Next, I visited this art café that I'd been meaning to visit for quite some time. I got to paint on a canvas
while enjoying some amazing pasta and affogato. I love the way people are trying to incorporate art into
their lives. Work-life has been hectic throughout this month. There was always something more to do
and I couldn't catch a break. But seniors acknowledged my efforts and it felt amazing to be appreciated
for something new I tried in my work. I believe I tried a lot of new restaurants and come to new cocktails
too.

Mid-month got a bit overwhelming, so I took a break to sleep and doodle too. But taking a break also
involved making numerous impromptu plans with friends, scooty rides, and grocery shopping (I don't
know how to stress this enough but grocery shopping is therapeutic), making people explore new places
and hot chocolate, and partying (obviously). My friend taught me how to play some card games and I
tried playing a ukelele. To top everything off, I met my school and college friends and it felt good to be
reminded of the old version of myself. Meeting old friends makes you acknowledge the way you've
grown to become the person you are today.

Thanks for these memories, Gurgaon!
